GPSA Advocacy
The GPSA works with a number of campus, institutional, and community partners to advocate on your behalf. See our non-exhaustive list of ways you can get involved at. UC-Wide Advocacy
- UC Board of Regents - The Board of Regents meets regularly and many of the meetings it holds are open to the public.
- UC Graduate and Professional Council (UCGPC) - Comprised of representatives from all 10 UCs designed to discuss pressing student concerns.
- Student Advocates to the Regents (StARs) - Funded travel to the Regents meetings to provide public comment on pressing student issues. Selected advocates are given "backstage" privileges to speak with the Regents and engage in student advocacy.
External Advocacy
Local
- University City Planning Group - Official organization representing North and South University in the City of San Diego's planning process.
- Community Planning Groups - CPGs provide residents an opportunity to be involved in advising the City Council, Planning Commission, and other decision-makers on development projects that are an integral component of the planning process.

- Student Advocates for Greater Education (SAGE) - A student-run organization dedicated to representing and advocating on behalf of all graduate and professional students across the nation.
- National Association of Graduate and Professional Students (NAGPS) - A student-run organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of all graduate and professional students.
