VP of Social Affairs: Marisol "Dottie" Dothard 

The Vice President of Social Affairs is responsible for leading GPSA UCSD’s social programming and fostering community among graduate and professional students. This office manages the organization’s social portfolio and plans large-scale events designed to encourage both intradepartmental and interdepartmental interaction, including the supervision of four quarterly festivals. The Vice President of Social Affairs also supports Council Representatives in planning social events within and across departments, oversees the social activities for Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week, and maintains detailed, accurate, and up-to-date records of expenditures from GPSA UCSD event funds. In addition, the office coordinates with University Centers event managers to organize and promote graduate student events in campus spaces, while also managing the creation and distribution of promotional materials for social events in collaboration with the Director of Engagement.
